Today was supposed to be a good day but the day turned sour quickly. The Philadelphia Eagles were getting back Michael Vick but he wouldn’t even last the entire first half.

Vick looked horrible and not confident in today’s game. He would only throw nine passes and complete six of them with a 32.4 quarterback rating. The Eagles offense in general could not get the job done. Rookie Matt Barkley would come in for Mike Vick and he struggled as well.

Barkley would throw for 158 yards and an interception but really looked confused on the field. It almost seemed like the game speed of the NFL is too fast for him.  Lesean McCoy couldn’t go off today as he was held without a touchdown and only to 48 rushing yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense was the only bright spot as they held the New York Giants offense to 15 points and those points came off of Josh Brown field goals. The Eagles only touchdown came off of a Zac DeOssie mishandled snap and then fumble by Giants punter Steve Weatherford; linebacker Najee Goode would recover the fumble in the end zone.

The Philadelphia Eagles are now 3-5 and 0-4 at Lincoln Financial Field. Next Sunday, they go on the road as they take on Terrelle Pryor and the upstart Oakland Raiders. The game will start at 4:05 pm ET and can be seen on FOX.
