Spotlight On: Ohio State Field Hockey, 10/19/2012 vs No. 7 Penn State
The No. 21 Ohio State Buckeyes fell 3-0 to the No. 7 Nittany Lions on a windy and rainy afternoon on Friday at Buckeye Varsity Field on Senior Day. Penn State had a 2-0 advantage at halftime after corners from Kelsey Amy with about six and a half minutes to go in the half, and then a little while later from Brittany Grzywacz.
In the second half, at 49:14, Penn State added to its lead when Amy scored her second goal off a corner from the left side of the circle. The Lions outshot the Buckeyes 21-8, including 12-5 in penalty corners.
Ohio State honored five seniors before the start of the game on Friday afternoon including Paula Pastor-Pitarque, Laura Napolitano, Danica Deckard, and Berta Queralt. The class has collected 42 wins and was apart of the 2010 Big Ten Champion and Final Four team.

10/14 – The Buckeyes fell to TSUN by a score of 3-1 in Ann Arbor.
Men’s Soccer
10/14 – The Buckeyes suffered their fourth loss of the Big Ten season at the hands of Northwestern in a 1-0 decision in Evanston.
10/19 – Ohio State defeated Wright State 2-1 and will now prepare to host third-ranked Akron on Tuesday night.
Women’s Soccer
10/14 – Lauren Granberg’s hat trick lifted the Buckeyes over Nebraska 4-0.
10/18 – Tiffany Cameron set the single season record for goals at Ohio State with 14 as the Buckeyes defeated TSUN 3-1.
Women’s Volleyball
10/17 – The No. 20 Buckeyes were defeated by No. 7 Penn State 3-0 on Wednesday. Emily Danks led the Buckeyes with 5 kills, 4 service aces, and a solo block.
10/20 – The Buckeyes defeated Michigan State 3-1 in East Lansing. Mari Hole, Emily Danks, and Kaitlyn Leary each finished with double-doubles for the Buckeyes.
