- 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Nearly Traded To Browns : According to multiple media reports, the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers nearly pulled off a draft-day trade that would have sent head coach Jim Harbaugh to the shores of Lake Erie for draft picks. Both teams would confirm the report as true. After firing Rob Chudzinski, Cleveland and San Francisco began discussions that would have sent multiple first-round picks to San Francisco. Harbaugh would eventually decline and opt to stay with the 49ers. The younger brother of John Harbaugh, head coach of the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens, the Toledo-born Harbaugh would have returned to the state of his birth, had the trade actually been consummated.
