- Browns Match Jaguars Five-Year, $42 Million Offer Sheet For C Mack : According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Browns matched the Jacksonville Jaguar’s offer sheet for two-time Pro Bowl center, Alex Mack of five years and $42 million. The deal also includes $26 million guaranteed—$18 million in the first two years and eight million in year three, if he stays—and a player option to void the contract after two years. After two years, Mack can become an unrestricted free agent in ‘16.
- 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick Named in Alleged Sexual Assault In Miami : According to gossip website, TMZ, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick along with Niners wideout Quinton Patton and Ricardo Lockette from the arch-rival Seahawks in Miami, Thursday. Miami Police Department spokesman, Rene Pimental, stated in a statement that there was no evidence of a crime or a sexual assault. Kaepernick would respond to the TMZ story by calling it “completely wrong” No players were arrest or charged.
- UEFA Champions League Semifinals Draw Announced : After defeating Ligue 1 powerhouse, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, UEFA announced it’s semifinals draw for the four remaining clubs Friday. Defending European champion Bayern Munich draw La Liga power and nine-time champion, Real Madrid and local rival Athletico Madrid draw the aforementioned Blues.
The winners of both legs will meet in the UEFA Champions League final, May 24 in Lisbon.
