2-Year-Old Son Of Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson Dead After Domestic Assault.  In a truly heartbreaking story to all, the two-year-old son of 2012 NFL MVP Adrian Peterson, died Friday after being domestically assaulted by 27-year-old Joseph Patterson, reportedly the boyfriend of Peterson’s ex, in South Dakota.  Patterson has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery of an infant and has been held on a $750,000 cash bond.

Peterson stated that he plans to play against the Carolina Panthers.

Pats TE Gronkowski Doubtful vs Saints : After earlier reports had surfaced that All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski may have been ready to make his season debut against the New Orleans Saints after recovering from back and forearm surgeries in the off-season, now looks like he will miss the highly-touted showdown.  A prime target for quarterback Tom Brady, Gronkowski caught 55 passes for 790 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2012.

Lions WR Calvin Johnson Game-Time Decision at Browns : After being limited to four catches for 44 yards and one touchdown in a 40-32 win over the Chicago Bears due to a knee injury, Calvin Johnson looks to be a possible game-time decision on the road vs the upstart 3-2 Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland, which has the fourth best defense in the league, will most likely assign star cornerback, Joe Haden the task of covering Megatron.
