The Sacramento Kings formally announced a new contract with local ABC affiliate News10 this afternoon. News10 will kick off the season with a commercial-free airing of the home opener against the Denver Nuggets on Oct 30 and broadcast a total of 11 games during the 2013-14 season.
“News10 has been a loyal and valuable partner for us, and we look forward to working with them again this year,” Sacramento Kings President Chris Granger said in the teams official press release. “We are excited to offer the home opener commercial-free, and give our wonderful fans a peek into the arena experience on what is certain to be a special night.”
Comcast SportsNet California will continue to be the primary home of the Kings, televising 70 of the 71 remaining games on the schedule. Sacramento will make a lone national TV appearance Nov. 15 at home against the Detroit Pistons on ESPN.
