NFL Draft: Seattle Seahawks Mock Draft

nflqbslifemagazinedeadspin

This is part one of my 32 part series where I will take a pick-by-pick approach for each team’s mock draft using fanspeak.com. I will be going in reverse order, so part one is Seattle.

Round 1 Pick 32: Jace Amaro TE Texas Tech– Seattle seems to have a need at a pass catching tight end, and Amaro fills that void over and over again. They brought Jermichael Finley in for a visit with nothing happening and that’s why Amaro is the guy.

Round 2 Pick 64: Jarvis Landry WR LSU-  Landry fills an immediate void left by Golden Tate and Sidney Rice leaving. Jarvis Landry’s ability to separate and create his own space is something Russell Wilson will absolutely adore.

Round 4 Pick 132: Victor Hampton CB South Carolina– They need to add depth with the losses of Browner and Thurmond. Hampton is a solid cover corner in his own right, but he must put the work in or he will fall along like all the other athletic but lazy corners.

Round 4 Pick 146: Caraun Reid DT Princeton – What a possible ceiling Reid has. He has a roof of Marcel Dareus and a floor of well Ryan Sims. Not bad depth for the Seahawks, mainly with the loss of a few of their Key D-line battlers.

Round 5 Pick 172: Michael Sam DE/OLB Missouri– This may come with some scrutiny, but if there is any locker room he will fit into it would be a Pete Carroll locker room.

Round 6 Pick 208: Spencer Long OG Nebraska– Again all this is doing is taking a shot on a depth guy.

Round 7 Pick 247: Charles Leno OT Boise State– Leno had a chance early in the season to be a first rounder but slowly digressed and now is in danger of being a UFA.
