The league informed Caldwell that the officials should have penalized Weddle for pass interference on the play. Replays clearly showed Weddle wrapping his left arm around Reggie Wayne‘s waist, knocking him off his route and ultimately to the ground.
“(The NFL) said it should have been called,” Caldwell said Thursday. “That wasn’t like it was a new revelation to anybody, I don’t think.”
