4. Lamar Jackson

You can hear the Lamar Jackson hype from a mile away. Many Ravens fans were finally excited to see their young rookie quarterback getting his opportunity to ball out as Joe Flacco was sidelined with a hip injury for the week, and he could possibly miss next week as well.

Jackson picked up his first career win on Sunday in a tight matchup against the Bengals. Naturally, social media went crazy for the kid, as everybody was excited to see the dual-threat mix it up in a full-time role. While Jackson had a decent day, just know that his performance is, and will be overhyped.

He rushed the ball 27 times for 117 yards. That’s a ridiculous stat for a quarterback. But if you look at his numbers in the passing game, they are very underwhelming. 13-19, 150 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception.

Jackson may be considered a dual-threat, but he was no threat in the air. Considering the fact that the Bengals are a team that is known to struggle against mobile quarterbacks, Jackson’s day isn’t all that impressive, despite being a rookie. It will be interesting to see how he does against a team that is going to force him to throw more.
