3. Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold and the New York Jets took their third-straight loss this past Sunday, and the Jets are the Jets again, officially. That week one performance by Darnold had the rest of the NFL worried about facing the rookie as they don’t really have much game tape on the young QB. But after the past three weeks, Darnold looks exceptionally average.

He completed 17 passes for 167-yards and one touchdown. So he wasn’t exactly terrible. But he isn’t really looking like a rookie of the year candidate either. Last week, I said that Darnold may be the first rookie to hit his rookie QB wall early on, and I am sticking to my guns with that statement.
