1. Baker Mayfield

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield still remains the top dog this week. The Browns are pulling out some ugly wins, but the ugliness does not land on the quarterback. Mayfield is the real deal right now, and he has the Browns looking like a very good football team.

The only difference between Mayfield and these other guys are the Browns are leaning everything on their young quarterback. Mayfield has now thrown over 40 times in both of his starts these past two weeks. Even for a seasoned veteran, that could be much.

For a rookie, that’s pretty dangerous. But Mayfield is up to the task. He’s a competitor and he wants to go out and win any way that he can. Mayfield threw for a career-high of 342-yards, with a touchdown. He didn’t dominate, but he grinded out a win that the Browns had to get in overtime. Mayfield is rare, and the Browns should be feeling really good right now about their first-overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
