4. Josh Allen
Josh Allen’s breakout performance against the Minnesota Vikings now feels like a decade ago. Allen hasn’t been horrendous, but he hasn’t really done anything special either. The Buffalo Bills matchup against the Houston Texans this week was a good test for the rookie since the Texans let the bills hang around for the most part. Unfortunately, Allen couldn’t lead his team to a win in the end.
It’s not his fault though, considering that Allen ended up leaving the game with an apparent injury, which forced the Bills to play Nathan Peterman. But even before Allen went to the bench, he was quite underwhelming. Allen’s final stats were 10 completions for 84 yards. Once again, he seemed more productive on his feet with four rushes for 20 yards.
Here’s an interesting stat about Allen, he’s averaged more yards-per-carry, than yards-per-pass three times this season, including Sunday. That’s not really a huge deal, but it is something to be concerned about because Allen only averaged five yards-per-carry on Sunday.
