3. Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold is undoubtedly the answer for the New York Jets quarterbacking questions, there’s no doubt about that. But as always, there are some concerns. Darnold is a solid quarterback, but his inconsistency makes it difficult to trust him every week.

Darnold may be the hottest and cold quarterback in this rookie class. One week he looks like the best prospect from the 2018 NFL Draft, and the next week he looks like just your regular old rookie making mistakes, and not really changing much in the game.

This week was one of those cold weeks. He threw for 153 yards and only one touchdown. Darnold completed 48-percent of his passes, which is just an eight-percent upgrade from last week’s game. Darnold and the Jets offense only put up 10 points against the Bears on Sunday, and it’s clear that Darnold is approaching yet, another cold streak this season.
