3. Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold looked like the top dog for the first couple of weeks this season. Somewhere along the lines, he fell off. Let me make this very clear, though. Darnold is a good quarterback and should have the Jets very excited for what he brings to the table in the future.

Unfortunately, Darnold is as inconsistent as they come. Right now, Darnold hasn’t just hit his rookie wall. He smashed right through it and totaled everything. His week nine performance was surely one to forget. The Jets lost to a broken down Miami Dolphins team, and you could definitely point the finger at the rookie for the blame.

Darnold threw 39 passes for 229 yards. He finished up with zero touchdowns and four interceptions. Surprisingly, the Jets only lost by one possession. It doesn’t take a football guru to figure out that throwing zero touchdowns and four picks are automatically setting you up for failure. Darnold got outdueled by Brock Osweiler. Yikes.
