SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (6-7) at CHICAGO BEARS (7-6)
Sunday, 1:00 PM ET, FOX, Direct TV (708), Sirius (Sea 139, Chi 93)
Why Watch
neither the Bears nor the Seahawks are not out of the wild card chase. The winner gets one step closer and the tiebreaker advantage over the loser.
What To Watch
Three straight losses erode the Bears’ playoff homes. By now, Bears fans appreciate what Jay Cutler brought to the team. They celebrate Caleb Henie’s 115 yard performance against the Broncos, but that was not enough to overcome Marion Barber’s mental lapses. Seattle are superior at quarterback with Tavaris Jackson. I have never used “superior” and T-Jack in the same sentence. Ever.
The Bears are no slouches on defense. Neither are the Seahawks who rank 15-best in yards per game. DE Chris Clemons leads the ‘Hawks with nine sacks. Ditto Julius Peppers for the Bears.
Chicago players endured the shock of Sam Hurd’s arrest. GM Jerry Angelo moved quickly to release Hurd. The players say all the right things. Perhaps, there will be no lasting effect. Stay tuned on that. Chicago is favored by four.
Who Will Win
I have a hunch about the Seahawks, but I am going to stick with the odds.. SEATTLE
