It’s not uncommon for NBA hopefuls to get asked some pretty off-the-wall questions as part of the pre-draft process.  That’s exactly what happened to new Sacramento Kings guard Nik Stauskas.

That tweet went viral and folks have been wondering just exactly which team asked him that question.  Well for starters, it wasn’t the team that drafted him.  When asked if it was the Kings who posed that question, Stauskas admitted that it wasn’t them.

“No, it wasn’t the Kings who asked me that,” Stauskas said with a smile after his introductory press conference in Sacramento.  “That was probably the funniest question I got throughout the whole process.”

So who was it?  After a bit pressure, Stauskas caved and said it was the team that drafted fourth and 12th overall: the Orlando Magic.

“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say, am I?” Stauskas said when asked which team asked him that question.

Now Magic fans can all collectively wonder if general manager Rob Hennigan secretly has Bieber-fever.  In the immortal words of the Canadian pop idol himself, “Never say never”.
