After enjoying his best season since 2013 last year for the A’s, Jed Lowrie appeared to be primed to take things up a notch based off his huge April. His 171 wRC+ and .417 wOBA through 126 plate appearances were among the league leaders, but the overall production has fallen off a cliff since then. That wRC+ fell to 100 in May and is currently 33 in June heading into Friday’s action.

Lowrie’s hard-hit rate hasn’t come close to the 46.2% mark he posted in April, but it’s still hovering between 30-35%. And with a 29.6% line-drive rate so far this month, his BABIP should be higher than .250.
