Nittany Lion’s Den joins forces with news leader in Lansdale, Pennsylvania
LANSDALE, PA. (July 11, 2011) – Nittany Lion’s Den has been added to The Reporter‘s community blogging network, and will add to Journal Register Company‘s (The Reporter’s parent company) Ben Franklin Project effort.
The Journal Register Company’s Ben Franklin Project is an opportunity to re-imagine the news-gathering process with the focus on Digital First and Print Last. Using only free tools found on the Internet, the project will – from assigning to editing- create, publish and distribute news content on both the web and in print. Read more about it here.
Nittany Lion’s Den content will now be shared alongside beat reporters from Philadelphia’s sports scene, such as Ryan Lawrence (Phillies), Bob Grotz (Eagles), Anthony J. SanFilippo (Flyers) and Dennis Deitch (Sixers) in addition to a handful of local community sports blogs serving the Lansdale area and Montgomery County. Content from the website can potentially be shared with sister newspapers of The Reporter, including the Delaware County Daily Times, The Daily Local News (West Chester) and more. Working with The Reporter, Nittany Lion’s Den will look for new ways to bring you Penn State news and commentary.
