Good news, everybody! Curtis Grant is a Buckeye.
Recently named a Parade All-American, Grant is one of the top high school prospects in the entire nation. Clearly he is a great get on signing day… particularly after such a horrible finale to the 2010 recruiting class.
He chose Ohio State over Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. Once considered Florida’s to lose, the re-resignation of Urban Meyer allowed Ohio State to jump back into Grant’s recruitment… which obviously turned out to be a successful one for the Buckeyes.
Listed at 6’3″ and 215 pounds, Grant has prototypical size and could end up at any of the three LB positions at Ohio State. Wherever he lands, Grant has the talent and potential to be an extremely good defender… possibly the next great LB for the Silver Bullets.
He can make an immediate impact on special teams in 2011, and if he keeps his head on straight and continues to work hard he will find his way on the field as a starter sooner rather than later.
Congratulations to Mr. Grant and his family on joining Buckeye Nation!
