Welcome to Undercard Superstar’s guide to gambling, where you can get po’ in one night if you play your cards right! As your resident financial guide, it is my responsibility to make sure you lose enough money to not make a donation to the Ted Cruz 2016 campaign. It is also my duty to inform you that Undercard Superstar and its partners are not responsible for your loss of money, pride, respect from your children and/or respective other, or any other valuables.
This time, we take a look at UFC Fight Night 55: Rockhold vs. Bisping. This is your typical international Fight Pass card, with random create-a-fighter names covering the card and a few matchups with divisional relevance.
Let’s waste more money than a PAC.

Undercard Values:
- Marcus Brimage: -550 vs. Jumabieke Tuerxun: +375
- Luke Zachrich: -300 vs. Daniel Kelly: +230
- Vik Grujic: -150 vs. Chris Clements: +130
- Louis Smolka: -350 vs. Richie Vaculik: +265
- Dylan Andrews: -175 vs. Sam Alvey: +145
- Guto Inocente: -210 vs. Anthony Perosh: +170
- Jake Matthews: -400 vs. Vagner Rocha: +300
As with the majority of these cards, a lot of unknowns which means a lot of potential pitfalls. As far as live dogs, a few names come to mind. Chris Clements is a solid enough fighter with some game-changing power that should make him competitive with Vik Grujic. Sam Alvey is game to go toe-to-toe with anyone and that could always present problems for his opponent, who in this case is primarily a striker as wekk. Finally, Anthony Perosh is a more proven commodity within the UFC than Guto Inocente and should have the grappling chops to get the fight where it needs to go. Perosh strikes me almost a lock, with Clements getting only a slight edge over his opponent.
Other than the favorites in the closely contested matches with the underdogs listed above, nothing much bankable in the favorites section.
Main Card Values:
- Soa Palelei: -165 vs. Walt Harris: +135
- Clint Hester: -185 vs. Robert Whittaker: +150
- Ross Pearson: -170 vs. Al Iaquinta: +140
- Luke Rockhold: -450 vs. Michael Bisping: +325
Two names really tickle my fancy here as low-level favorites. Soa Palelei and Ross Pearson are practically steals as they sit under -200. A parlay on both fighters would be relatively safe and pay decently with enough cash. Aside from that, Robert Whittaker might be the most live dog here, assuming his moving up in weight allows him to not drain his speed and he gains power. Still, that’s a lot of what ifs and Clint Hester should be able to use his size to win.
Final Thoughts:
A few parlayable favorites and a few live underdogs make this card somewhat worth dropping some coin. Lots of variables on these international shows can come into play, so playing it safe with small cash on a card loaded with unknowns and UFC returnees would be the best route.
My Bets: $15 parlay on Palelei and Perosh to win $50.
