On Thursday morning, a partnership was reached between Bloguin’s Florida State site, Noled Out and Warpath Radio, a webcast that’s part of Offsides Sports Radio.
The two outlets have agree to share sources, collaborate on content and help each other with promotion among other things.
“I didn’t really see us as competitors since we’re print and they’re a podcast,” said Noled Out editor Mike Ferguson. “They haven’t been around very long and they’re already attracting FSU greats I grew up watching onto their program as well as prized recruits. I felt it would be foolish not to reach out.”
Warpath Radio airs Thursdays from 5 P.M. until about 7 P.M. eastern time. Warpath has landed guests such as former FSU greats in Sammie Smith and Derrick Alexander as well as big time recruits like FSU commits Amir Rasul and Andrew Boselli not to mention 5-star tight end Isaac Nauta, who recently decommitted from the Seminoles.
“Warpath Radio is ecstatic to be partnering with Noled Out. If you’re not on the Warpath, you’re in the way,” said host Glenn Johnson. “In Doak Campbell, the stadium is sold out because of the millions and millions of fans that are Noled Out.”
Noled Out recently revived its “Catching Up” series which reflects on the careers of former FSU athletes. Former All-Americans Tay Cody and Clay Shiver most recently appeared in the series.
“I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with Noled Out; I stumbled upon their website a few months ago and really enjoyed reading their articles. I even commented on a few hoping to have a conversation with the author,” said Warpath co-host Andrew Merydith. “Fast forward a couple months later and we are working together. It’s a win-win for everyone except maybe Gator fans.”
Ferguson said that Warpath’s short, but successful history of being able to get perspective from top recruits could serve as a big shot in the arm to Noled Out’s recruiting coverage. Ferguson added that he feels the partnership will be mutually beneficial.
“I think we’re both doing what we’re doing for the same reasons and that’s our passion for Florida State athletics,” Ferguson said. “I know Glenn went to FSU and all three of our guys either graduated from Florida State or are set to graduate from there. It’s not always easy to compete against the bigger more established outlets out there, but this is definitely a positive step in that direction.”
