Following a thrilling 29-24 victory over Miami on Saturday, Florida State moved up one spot in this week’s Associated Press Poll.
The Seminoles moved from 12th to 11th and sit just outside the top 10. In the Amway Coaches Poll, the Seminoles held firm at No. 8.
The top 3 was the same in each poll with defending national champion Ohio State sitting atop the poll. The Buckeyes were followed by Baylor and TCU.
In the AP Poll, Utah was fourth and Clemson rounded out the top 5. LSU, Michigan State, Florida, Texas A&M and 1-loss Alabama rounded out the top 10 ahead of the Seminoles.
In the Coaches Poll, Michigan State and LSU ranked fourth and fifth respectively in front of No. 6 Clemson. Utah was one spot ahead of No. 8 FSU with Alabama and Texas A&M rounding out the top 10.
Florida State is now one of three ACC teams in the polls. The Seminoles and Clemson are joined by 5-1 Duke, who is 25th in this week’s AP Poll and 24th in the Coaches. FSU will host Louisville at noon eastern time on Saturday.
