Just as with the National Sports Emmy Awards, some of the nominations are very questionable. Sox Appeal and Charlie Moore Outdoors with the Celtics Pregame Show and Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight in the Sports Series category? To compare the solid stuff by Comcast SportsNet with the two reality shows by NESN is like asking one to choose between Prime Rib and Sloppy Joes. Very strange.

It would be nice to see Tina Cervasio win in the sports reporter category, but unless I somehow missed it, I did not see a sports anchor category. Perhaps there were no submissions, I don’t know. And it appears none of the stations submitted a sports segment within a newscast. Oh well. That’s all I have on this. More later.
