This evening, the Boston Celtics played the Philadelphia Sixers in the City of Brotherly Love. The Celtics were faced with an uphill battle, as the Sixers ran up and down the court leaving the Celtics behind. The Sixers defense held Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to a low performance with a tight defensive strategy to keep the players limited. However, Paul Pierce, Brandon Bass and Kevin Garnett couldn’t do it alone as they finished with a combination of 56 points. The Sixers go to guy was Evan turner with the hot hand of 26 points. In addition, Lou Williams, Elton Brand, and Andre Iguodala chipped in with a combination of 43 points. The Celtics will not get 1st place tonight as the Sixers defeat the Celtics 103-71. The Celtics next game is March 9th against the Portland Trailblazers at the TD Center with tip-off starting at 7:30.
