…baffles me that the Rangers could start the game so sluggish after witnessing that. Awesome job by Rupp and Prust trying to get the team and MSG crowd energized right away.

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record has this quote from the Devils’ Cam Jansen on how his fight with Mike Rupp got started…

“I said to him, ‘How’s your hand?’ He said, ‘It feels good.’ I said, ‘You want to do it?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll go with you.’ It’s as simple as that. That’s what we do.”

…amazing that Jansen knew about Rupp’s hand injury. These guys really do their homework.
