Former NBA and San Antonio Spurs player Dennis Rodman was known for being a rebound-machine on the court. For his career, he averaged 13.1 rebounds per game and in the 1991-1992 season, Rodman averaged a career best 18.7 rebounds per game. He finished with a career total of 11,954 rebounds ranking him 21 on the NBA career rebounding list.
However, another Spur is on the verge of surpassing Rodman — Tim Duncan.
Despite averaging a career low in rebounds this season at 9.1, Duncan is ranked 22 on the NBA career rebounding list with 11,951. With four more boards tomorrow against the Golden State Warriors, Duncan will pass Rodman and move into 21st place.
Ranked 20th on the NBA career rebounding list is former NBA player Charles Oakley with 12,205.
