Johnny O with a nice list of non-LT related stories from the week.
Antonio Johnson is a heck of a story that we’ll explore a bit more on Indy Football Report later this week. He was claimed off the Tennessee practice squad midway through last season, started the last four games and evidently is the starter. He missed the early part of training camp with a knee, but started against Philadelphia. “Antonio has been pretty steady since he’s come back from his injury,” Caldwell said. “Obviously, he gives us a lot of bulk in that area, but he’s a guy who plays with a lot of effort. He can hit and shed and certainly take care of his gap, but because of his size and girth, often times you may underestimate how much ground he can cover. He can cover ground, and not only that, he can get some push in the middle with his pass rush. We like what he’s doing. We need him to continue to improve and I think he’s the kind of guy who’s important to us. I think you’ll see that happen in the preseason.”
