Off-Season Plans for Burning River Baseball

ALCS - Cleveland Indians v Toronto Blue Jays - Game Five

While the results were far from what we were hoping for, the Indians will quickly move on in preparing for the 2017 season and we will too. As we always have, BurningRiverBaseball will continue to bring you daily content throughout the off-season, looking back at this season, forward to the next and into the distant past.

All-Time Indians biographies will be back including some of the original greats that will be revisited. We’ll have some new top ten lists for you as well including our first that spans beyond the sport of baseball coming out this week.

Of course, you can always depend on BurningRiver to bring you any important news related to the Indians and following analysis that will help make sense of it all. We’ll be predicting some moves as well, particularly considering the Indians upcoming contract situations. This includes upcoming free agents, arbitration cases and some players who deserve a look at an extension.

In addition, we’ve got a couple improved editions of previous off-season entertainment. First, we have joined with Brad Wojdyla and Cait Boron of Baseball & Brews to bring you the second season of Do You Wahoo? A Cleveland Indians trivia game show. The shows will be recorded in studio for the first time with Brad hosting as the top Indians writers and fans compete to see who will win the tournament that is scheduled to last the entire off-season.

Secondly, we will have our biggest prospect rankings ever as all those games watched by our writers show their value. Our entire staff will vote on the rankings and each player will be written up by the writer who has seen him the most or most recently.

Finally, if you haven’t heard already, I’ve joined together with a former writer of Burning River Baseball to create Burning River Basketball, a Cavs specific site on The Sports Daily. If you want nothing, but baseball, we’ll be here for you all off-season with daily content. If you are more interested in active sports, I recommend you head over to BurningRiverBasketball.com where Danny Cunningham, Ben Belden, Jordan Greynolds, Kyle Kelly and Jared Donnelly will give you an inside look at the 2016 NBA Champions. Click anyone’s name to follow them on twitter and make sure to follow the official site feed @BRBasketball.
