Offseason update for your Hornets!

So now that Lebron is done holding us hostage, everything is starting to shake out for the rest of the league, including the Hornets.

After a nice draft that included Noah Vonleh and P.J. Hairston, the team has been quite active in free agency. They have agreed to terms with Power Forward Marvin Williams, a veteran big man who is fundamentally solid, plus can help the young bigs to develop.

In their latest move, they have brought in Point Guard Brian Roberts, a veteran who played valuable minutes with New Orleans last year. He is a good player who is a nice shooter, especially from the free throw line, will be a big help in leading the second unit.

The big question remains will the Hornets grab a big name. I feel that they might go after Lance Stephenson, but only if the numbers work for the team.

As it stands now, I can see the vision the team has, get solid fundamental players who play team first basketball. The focus is on defense and minimizing turnovers and mistakes on offense. This team may not be flashy, but it wont beat it’s self either. Either with Stephenson or without, this year will be very interesting.
