Well, even though we lost last night, it wasn’t a totally bad game. The final score was 4-2 but it was pretty much 3-2 since the last one was an empty net by Ovenchicken.
Who got both the Coyotes goals? KORPS! He’s like the chips, only instead of “betcha can’t eat just one” he’s “betcha can’t score just one”. Oh I love that speedy lil Fin (not as much as you Sami, don’t worry). He got close a few other times. He had this great breakout and was gaining some speed but then the refs called an off-sides. DOH!
My Pru was, of course, all over the place and getting beat up. Those caps better watch themselves! (I am a little overprotective at times).
Sami took two dumb penalties. I expect him to sit the next couple of games and new guy will play. He did have a good shot block but then the guy scored on the rebound cuz Bryz was going to the opposite side of the net. There was another goal I had thought Bryz should have stopped too. He was perfectly square to the shooter, no one obstructing his view, so not sure what happened with that one. At least he didn’t lose his shit like some of the other recent games.
And I know I should not like the Caps, but I love them. I wish I could have been in DC for this game. I have went to DC the last two seasons and of course the Coyotes weren’t there. Then the first year I don’t go? The Coyotes play. Oh Ovenchicken, what spell have you and your team put over me? I can’t even be that upset that my Yotes lost to you!
Up next: Coyotes at Red Wings on Tuesday. This is an early one folks. It starts at 5 Phoenix time. I won’t be able to hear/see any of this game as I will be in class. This is an important game for us. We need to beat the Wings in their arena. I don’t care if the score is 2-1 or 7-6, we just need one more goal then them. We need all the points we can get. We need to put some breathing room between us and teams like Vancouver and Nashville.. There are too many teams within a few points of each other and we need to get ahead of the pack (haha pack, get it? Lame, I know). Any way…. we need to stay out of our own heads against Detroit. Do not let them get to us. We are just as good as them. We beat them once this season (i think?), we can do it again. Oh, and no stupid penalties. Its always helpful to stay out of the box.
