Old friend Marquis Daniels threw his 5th annual summer bash & fundraiser for his "Q6 Foundation" this past weekend. Rajon Rondo was in attendance, as was Quis' hip-hop group, 1090 Blokk Boyz.
Marquis was sent to Sacramento last year shortly after suffering a frightening injury against the Orlando Magic. Marquis had successful surgery on his spinal cord back in March, and hopes to be back in the NBA this season. It's not out of the question that Marquis could find his way back to Boston.
I'm biased, as Marquis has been a favorite player of mine ever since he came to Boston, but there's no question he can be a contributor. If and when the lockout ends this year, Quis will definitely find his way on to an NBA roster. He has been through quite a bit in the last year, but has remained upbeat. He is constantly tweeting about "being thankful" and having "tremendous faith."
