It is offical now, the Ole Miss Rebels Athletics Department has denied Murphy Holloway’s appeal and will not be allowed to transfer to Clemson or South Carolina.
Holloway desired to leave Ole Miss to be closer to his family and his young daughter. Most, including himself, expected that Ole Miss would not release him to USC because it’s another SEC school, but he had assumed that Clemson would be an allowed option for his future.
No reason has been given by Ole Miss why they would not allow the 6-7 forward to transfer to Clemson. He has been released by Ole Miss to transfer to the College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Presbyterian, Winthrop or Costal Carolina. Another option still on the table but unlikely is he attends either USC or Clemson as a walk-on and pays his first year out of his own pocket.
Something tells me Costal could be a final destination but let’s wait and see how this story shapes out.
