In order to increase excitement or some shit like that (remember the Moonraker from Goldeneye?), the Olympics will begin using laser pistols for the pentathlon in the 2012 London Games. Also, pentathlon head honcho Klaus Schormann is excited about the new places that the event could be held.
“We can now hold competitions in parks and shopping malls.”
As weird as it sounds, how cool would it be to play laser tag in a mall? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
To build on this momentum, the IOC is brainstorming of other ways to add lasers into Olympic events. Since Michael Phelps has been busy lately, I think swimming could use a momentum boost.
