If you are like me, you know some sort of maternal figure (mom, grandma, etc.) who has made lasagna. It’s a pretty standard recipe, and if you like baked pasta, it’s hard to screw up. Personally, I like my lasagna to be fairly dry, with the noodles and meat taking over. I don’t really care that much for cottage cheese either, which is fine, because I pretty much ran out early.
The point of this, though, is that you should thank whoever has made lasagna for you more than once. That is an act of love. Boiling noodles, browning meat, that’s not much of a problem. Layering the noodles and the meat and everything? EXTRAORDINARY PAIN IN THE BUTT. In the end, everything ended up looking all right, much to my surprise, and the taste was just fine, but the whole process feels like a mistake.
Like I said, though, it ended up working out just fine. It tastes like lasagna, and it mostly looks like lasagna, so despite the fact that I may never be an architect or civil engineer, I will consider this a success
