According to the NFL, if the season ended today the Titans would have the eighth overall pick in the 2013 draft. Since there are still a full slate of games to be played, the Titans will draft somewhere from fifth to thirteenth, depending upon the outcome of some of those games.
If you want to know who to root for on Sunday, as it affects the Titans' draft position, here's your info.
Root for the Lions (vs CHI), Browns (@ PIT), Cardinals (@ SF), Chargers (vs OAK), Bucs (@ ATL) and Panthers (@ NO). The Bills vs Jets game is a little more complicated. If the Titans win on Sunday, root for the Jets. If the Titans lose, root for the Bills.
If the Titans win on Sunday, they could conceivably draft as low as 13th, if the Cardinals, Chargers, Bucs, Jets and Panthers all lose.
If the Titans lose, they could draft as high as fifth with wins by the Lions, Bills and Browns.
Some outstanding players have been drafted in the fifth through thirteenth spots, and some of the picks have not been that good. These are the players selected in those slots in the last ten years.
