Once again, hard to blame the offense; 23-20 OT loss to Lions

Click Here to Watch the Video FULL size 403 yards of offense once again, and the Bucs did not get the ball in overtime as the Lions got the ball in the Overtime Period, and ran it down the Bucs throats. The defensive line and linebackers and defense overall has really suffered too many losses from injuries, as has the Bucs O-line which made Josh Freeman and the offense overcome way too many long down and distance situations. The Lions got on the board first , taking the ball down the field, but Tampa Bay answered with an early 2nd quarter TD pass to Mike Williams. Then, LeGarrett Blount ran in from 39 yards out to go up 14-7, but the defense could not keep the Lions off the board before the half. Then in the third quarter Lions running back Maurice Morris runs a TD in after getting a short field when the Bucs decided to kick short. The Bucs had their chances in the 4th quarter, but the Tampa Bay offense had to settle for FGs both times, and that was the difference in the game.
