Cody Grimm made the best out of his situation, can Corey Lynch do the same?
The ruling came down out of nowhere, Tanard Jackson’s season, and now probably his career as a Buccaneer, would be over due to failed drug test. Sabby Piscitelli smiled as he felt his tirade in preseason about not being given a fair shake as a starter would get him into the starters role again. Raheem Morris gave the job to Cody Grimm. Grimm made one bad move in the preseason, and some judged him as not the answer, perhaps justifiably so. But instead, Grimm had turned into one of the Best Bucs defenders on the field. Now Grimm is gone, and Sabby once again is smiling, until a Raven Tight End goes down the field for a TD while he is left standing covering the flat where someone else was already covering. Here’s hoping the next guy works out like the Bucs backs have been this year. Because In 2010, the title of Backup really is just a temporary job. They say your only one play away from being named a starter, but Bucs backups are only one play away from becoming THEE Starter! LeGarrett Blount was given a few carries against the Steelers and he responded with a 6 yard per carry average. Weeks later, Blount is the answer not only for the Bucs starting running game, but for Cadillac’s production too! Sammy Stroughter gets hurt, and Arrelious Benn steps in and steps up. Aqib Talib gets suspended for one game, E.J. Biggers steps up in the interim. Al Woods, Alex Magee, Ryan Purvis, Myron Lewis, Dekoda Watson, all stepped up HUGE for the Bucs this year. Erik Lorig changed positions and started at Fullback for 2 games for Earnest Graham. Later today, slo mo of the TD scored on the Bucs after Grimm Left.
