Oregon Heads to Omaha for NCAA Tourney Opener With Tickets Starting at $61

After winning seven straight games, including two rounds of the Pac 12 conference tournament, the Oregon Ducks saw their streak snap to the No. 1 seed in their region, the Arizona Wildcats. But the Ducks were never in question of missing out on the NCAA Tournament, and received an eight seed for their efforts in the regular season.

The Ducks finished tied for second in the Pac 12 regular season with a 13-5 conference record and 25-9 overall record. Guard Joe Young took home Pac 12 Player of the Year honors and head coach Dana Altman won the Pac 12 Coach of the Year.

Oregon faces the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the No. 8 vs. No. 9 seed matchup in the West Region in Omaha. Oklahoma State went 18-13 overall with an 8-10 record inside the Big 12 conference.  The Cowboys have two established scorers, Phil Forte III and Le’Bryan Nash, who both averaged over 15 points per game. Oregon didn’t play any Big 12 conference teams during their non-conference part of the schedule and Oklahoma State defeated Oregon State back in November.

According to TiqIQ.com, the March 20th contest between the Oregon Ducks and Oklahoma State Sooners at CenturyLink Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska has an average ticket price of $229.75 and a walk-in price of $61. The second game of this doubleheader ticket is a No. 1 vs. No. 16 matchup between the Wisconsin Badgers and Coast Carolina Chanticleers.

Oregon can make CenturyLink Center Omaha full of green by showing up to the game with the help of Hipmunk.com. Omaha hotels through Hipmunk can be booked from $55 and up so you’re close enough to travel with using any other major transportation. From the west coast, Hipmunk has flights to Omaha from Portland to cheer on the Ducks in their race to Indianapolis.

If Oregon were to win, their second round matchup is most likely against No. 1 seeded Wisconsin Badgers. Oregon has plenty of experience going up against high-quality teams during Pac 12 play, so maybe they can get a chance earlier to bust everyone’s bracket.
