Orlovsky Likely Done For Year

Dan Orlovsky may be done for the season with multiple thumb injuries. Detroit Free Press PhotoFormer UConn Huskies and current Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky is likely done for the season after suffering two fractures and a torn ligament in his thumb.

An official decision won’t be made on Orlovsky until he sees a hand specialist next week but the odds are he’s done for the season.

He was most likely going to lose his job at some point seeing how the Lions signed Daunte Culpepper.

Orlovsky sustained the injury on the first play of the game last Sunday against the Chicago Bears but ended up finishing the game. He was 28-of-47 for 292 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. On the season, Orlovsky was 88-of-156 for 1,033 yards with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Orlovsky is a free agent after the season.
