The calendar may have switched to June but David Ortiz is still swinging like he did in May. Big Papi hit a two run homer in the fifth off of A’s starter Ben Sheets to give the Red Sox the lead for good in last night’s game. Dice-K had a rough first inning where he gave up three runs but settled in for the next five and two thirds innings. He didn’t allow another run and didn’t walk a batter. Daniel Bard pitched a perfect inning and Paps recorded his 13th save even though he did give up a run.
