The biggest acquisition for the club has been Julian de Guzman, captain of the Canadian national team . de Guzman brings a lot of experience to the team. Marc Dos Santos spoke to the Ottawa Sun about the de Guzman signing and had this to say: “In the end he wanted to be with a Canadian team. We were impressed with his passion for Canada and how concerned he is about giving back.. We knew we would always lose if it was down to the finances. It is important that people know Julian is coming here because this is where he wants to be.”
The Fury have added some depth to the defense with the additions of Rafael Alves , Ryan Richter and Mike Randolph. Ryan Richter is a talented defender and brings a lot experience to the defense. Their is a lot of depth from the defense, midfield, and the attack. The depth in this team is going to make them a strong side to play against and gives them a great chance at The Championship.
