With that the NHL Trade Deadline two weeks away, there is inevitably going to be a lot of rumo(u)r mongering going in the time leading up to February 27^th.

Thanks to the ease and speed at which information can be passed around, one has to wonder whether the actions of the Montreal Gazette’s Dave Stubbs will become en vogue. In case you do not follow @habsinsideout1 on Twitter, Stubbs used his cell phone’s camera function to take a picture of the press box’s seating arrangement for tonight’s Habs versus Hurricanes match up at the Bell Centre.

As you can clearly see in his photo (that adorns this piece), it clearly depicts which organizations have scouts in attendance for tonight’s game. With Senators scout Jim Clark being present, one has to wonder whether this will fuel the gossip mill and preserve those inane Tuomo Ruutu rumours – ignoring the fact that ownership and management have already kiboshed the idea of any trades that would see the organization give up prospects or high draft picks for a rental.
