The past six months or so have been interesting times around Badger Nation and Badger football specifically. So today we are instituting a ban on the use of the name of our now former coach Bret Bielema. In fact, that will be exact last time you ever see his name mentioned here.
As a result, we're going to have a little bit of fun with it all here on the staff. Very simple rule, if you are caught using the name on Badgers Power Hour, writing it (unless in a direct quote or retweeting someone else), or retweeting anything the man has to say said staff member will be fined $1.
That one dollar fine will accumulate until the end of the 2013 calendar year and at that time we will tally it all up and make a donation as a staff to Team Rubicon – a disaster relief charity headed by former Badger offensive lineman and Marine, Jake Wood. So, if you spot a violation and we haven't called it out already, please notify us and we will make sure to tally it up in the newest section on the site!
So, as we move forward with an ex-coachless summer and 2013 football season, let this be our gift to you. Additionally, if you want in on this effort to raise money for Team Rubicon's disaster relief efforts please let us know and we can add you to the list!
