OK, I’m going to be honest here- this deserves a lot better coverage than I’m going to give it. But, since we’re going to be talking about it DURING the game tomorrow, we’re going bare bones with the coverage.
Florida (7-5, 4-4 SEC) vs. Penn State (7-5, 4-4 Big T1e1n)

History
The game in Tampa has been the Cigar Bowl and the Hall of Fame Bowl, but hit it’s current configuration in 1986. Ohio State has won in this game, but it was the scene of this:
Florida Gators
A down year for the Gators, the largest story has been the offensive struggles. One of the happier moments for Gator fans was the decision for offensive coordinator Steve Addazio to leave for the head coaching job at Temple. Speaking of coaches, this is Urban Meyer’s last game prior to handing the reigns over to Will Muschamp.
On offense, Florida has been led mostly by John Brantly with Reed and Burton also seeing time under center. They men from Florida are a bit banged up- cornerback Janoris Jenkins, offensive tackle Maurice Hurt, and defensive linemen Marsh and Sanders are questionable for the bowl game.
Penn State Nittany Lions
Not one to let the Florida coaching situation rule the headlines, Penn State’s leader has been in the news as well; rumors of his deteriorating health are again stirring news that this bowl season may be his last. While doubtful, it’s nice to know that the Tampa area has a number of great communities for senior citizens.
Buckeye fans are familiar with the Lions, and their moxie-full quarterback McGloin. For full coverage of Penn State, check out our work from earlier in the season.
