Oops, it seems I’ve missed the last two games. After their ugly win against the Nets, the Pacers put in two better but not quite top notch performances against two of the NBA’s worst teams — the struggling Bobcats (in a 108-73 blowout) and the struggling Hornets (in a 118-107 OT victory). Hibbert has really stood out in the last couple of games against lesser and smaller opponents, putting up 18 and then a career high 30 in back to back games. Good to see considering he had been struggling since being named an All-Star.
The Pacers are now 20-12 and have won three straight after their five-game losing streak (which has coincided with a four-game losing streak from Philly). And they should make it four shortly as they play the Bobcats again before heading into the All-Star break, where Roy Hibbert will play in the All-Star game while Paul George will star in the Rising Stars game and contest the Slam Dunk Contest.
More on Paul George shortly.
