The Pacers have completed their roster by filling out the 15th and final spot with Indiana native Glenn Robinson III, the son of former NBA overall No. 1 pick Glenn “Big Dog” Robinson. The contract is for three years, but not much else is known at this point.
Robinson, 21, is listed at 6’7″ and 222 pounds. He was selected 40th overall last season by the Minnesota TImberwolves and was waived in March before being picked up by the Philadephia 76ers. He didn’t get a qualifying offer at the end of the season and played for the Atlanta Hawks at the recent Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 11.8 points on 46.3% shooting in six games.
Can't wait to continue my journey in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers, couldn't be more excited to play at home!! #OverlyDedicated

The Pacers appear to be looking at him the way they looked at Rakeem Christmas, second round guys who are cheap and have a bit of upside. They’ll likely look to develop these two guys over the next couple of years, possibly in D-League, and if they turn into rotational guys then great, they’ve been locked down for cheap. If not, then no harm done.
Robinson is young, athletic (though not freakishly so) and has a nice skill set, in particular pulling up off the dribble. He’s got a long way to go, but his signing is yet another sign that the Pacers don’t have any faith whatsoever in Solomon Hill, who has basically the same purpose. It also shows that the Pacers are serious in playing Paul George extended minutes at power forward.
I like this move because it’s cheap and it’s low risk, medium reward. With 15 guys on the roster, there’s going to be at least a couple who will almost never see the floor, so why not take some gambles and hope they pay off?
