Just when I thought Jim Schwartz and Martin Mayhew were turning things around in Detroit, reports are surfacing that the Lions are entertaining the idea of signing Adam “Pacman” Jones.
Although Mayhew has down-played the rumor to various media sources, I can’t help but wonder whether this move would actually be a step in the right direction. Like new Lion Kyle Vanden Bosch, Jones also has experience playing for Schwartz, while he was the Titans defensive coordinator.
My fingers remain crossed that Detroit decides against signing one of the leagues most oft-troubled players.
I take comfort in the fact that Schwartz seems to have a way with shady characters.
