The Sabres have eased their logjam at forward, trading left wing Daniel Paille to the Bruins for two draft picks. Paille, a first-round pick in 2002, was sent to Boston in exchange for a third-round pick next June and a conditional fourth-round pick, also in 2010. (TBN)

Talk about being in someones dog house. Here’s a player thrown out on his ass only two years removed from a 19 goal season. Look, I’ve always liked the upside of Paille and I know he hasn’t brought enough intensity that Ruff wanted last year. But the strange part is that the organization has always been known for being overly patient with their homegrown players.
I could make a list of prospects from Tallinder to Kalinin to Miro Satan who should of been thrown out on their asses years before the Sabres cut the cord. For the Sabres to give up on Paille after just a couple of years speaks dividends on how badly Lindy Ruff must not of liked him.
I’ve always been the type of critic or fan that always wants to push young talent. I feel Paille never got the opportunity. I’d rather take my chances on him developing than seeing Adam Mair take dumb penalties and chase after Jarkko Ruutu. Ugh..that encounter bought Mair five lifetimes in Buffalo, just like Biron fighting Emery.
