Pajoy Suspended and Adu Tries to Get LASIK

Lionard Pajoy has been suspended one game and fined by the MLS disciplinary committee for an illegal tackle he made in the Toronto game. The tackle got Pajoy a yellow card at the time but after further review, he has been handed down a suspension. The Colombian forward will miss the cup match on Tuesday against DC United.

Lionard has netted three goals but the Union may actually benefit from his absence. Jouse Martinez and Freddy Adu are coming off of great matches. The lack of Pajoy means someone else gets a shot and the Union could use this opportunity to get Danny Mwanga or Jack Mac back on track.

Good news, Freddy Adu  denied LASIK surgery. The Union midfielder was seeking to have LASIK surgery that would have put him out of the Union lineup for about a month. LASIK is an elective eye surgery. The fact that Freddy Adu thought of having the surgery mid-season is baffling. LASIK can be done at any time. If  LASIK would solve Adu’s problems, the question should be brought up why hasn’t he had it done earlier?
