Panthers keep on impressing

Ok, so maybe “impressing” was the wrong word for this post. Winning? Yes, they definitely keep on winning. They knocked off the Maple Leafs last night, which is just a thing people do, but this also helped to solidify their spot atop the Atlantic Division. That’s the impressive part, not the beating the Maple Leafs. That’s the “keep on winning” bit. If the season ended today, Florida would play Pittsburgh to start the post season, and they would do it with home ice.

SCOREBOARD
Pittsburgh 4, Carolina 2 – Speaking of the Penguins, they kept Eddie Lack busy last night.

Detroit 3, Columbus 1 – This got the Red Wings into a playoff position. Do good teams only play the dregs this time of yearr?

New Jersey 7, Minnesota 4 – Wow! And the Devils are the team currently sans-Parise

Florida 4, Toronto 1 – Jussi Jokinen netted a pair, or twice as many as Toronto.

Nashville 4, New York Islanders 2 – Ever since Halak went down, it seems like the Islanders can’t generate any offense.

Dallas 4, Tampa Bay 3 – This is a hell of a game that would likely be pretty terrific in a set of, oh, 7.

Arizona 3, San Jose 1 – The Coyotes slipped in a pair of goals late to make sure nobody is having any fun.

Los Angeles 4, New York Rangers 3 (OT) – The Rangers should feel good abouttheir trip to LA. Won against the Ducks and put up a hell of a fight against the Kings.
